The River Tay
What - Mild - Grade 2 (3), 1/2 Day, £50.00 per person.
The River Tay runs through Perthshire with a gentle gradient for most of its journey finally making it to the sea at the Firth of Tay.
The River Tay makes for an excellent introduction to canoeing and kayaking. Our fleet of inflatable boats are safe and forgiving which allows us to give you a taste of excitement by running some rapids which would otherwise take considerable time to learn in the conventional hard shell kayaks and canoes.

Why
The River Tay is one of the most popular rivers in the country for canoeing and kayaking and home to the Scottish Canoe Association Slalom Training Site at Grantully. The scenery and wild life are excellent and the trip itself has the right combination of exciting rapids getting bigger and better with a good finish at the end. It is an ideal river for those new canoeing and kayaking, school and youth groups, family holidays and corporate team building days.
The river is a commutable distance form the Scottish central belt, Glasgow and Edinburgh or there is a selection of accommodation available locally. Why not make a weekend of it and do some of the other activities we offer in the area.
