Thanks for the great day guys- highly recommended diversion for the drinking on a stag! Even with the low water level it was still a great day out and you have a great team of guides. Thanks very much!

The International Rafting Federation (IRF) is a non-profit non-government organisation formed in 1997 which is dedicated to developing rafting at all recreational, competition and commercial levels. There are currently countries represented by the International Rafting Federation.

The International Rafting Federation holds the World Rafting Championships (WRC). The next WRC is being held in Bosnia & Herzegovina in May 2009. The 2007 overall winners were Brazil with the Czech Republic coming second and Japan in third place. There are three main disciplines; the Sprint, the Slalom and the Downriver Race.

The International Rafting Federation also is key to the development of Guide Training and Education (GT&E). There is an IRF Award Scheme that seeks to provide a means of recognising guides, trip leaders and instructors under an internationally accepted standard.  Ace Adventure have full time IRF Instructor staff and run regular approved IRF Guide Training Courses and Assesments.  If you are an experienced guide interested in assesment under the IRF Award Scheme or looking to start a rewarding career as a raft guide send an email to jim@aceadventures.co.uk
