You Said...

Hope you haven't forgotten me? It's Morag. Myself and the Tingle team came last month, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for a fantastic experience! It was brilliant, and I still can't get over the fact that we made it through that terrifying rapid!

Born in Perth, Western Australia and grew up in Tasmania from the age of two.  My parents Richard and Brigit with my sister Joanna ran a small farm called The Valley within view of the Mount Field National Park .  Skiing was a great family winters day out on nearby Mount Mawson where at a young age a tree feller, Mario Faletich taught me how to ski.  Unfortunately due to clear felling of the great Regnan forests of the Florentine Valley behind the Mount Field Range, snow conditions deteriorated and the ski fields eventually shut.

Schooling in Hobart led me into caving as a sport and with the Tasmanian Caveneering Club over a number of years many new caves were found.  Field work as a Karst assessor and running school group trips were a past time during the years after my education when I was a commercial fisherman.  From caving a natural progression to sport climbing was made and became a new passion, somewhat less cold damp and muddy!  Fishing led me to my good friend Bristle who then introduced me to the world of kayaking and raft guiding where I made a decision to break from the life of a fisherman and become a walking, rafting and sea kayak guide.  I have been fortunate enough to live and work extensively in Tasmania, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Zambia and now Scotland.

During my time in Africa working on the mighty Zambezi River a strange sequence of events resulted in my sudden marriage with Bentswede, a complete change in career to corporate sales and marketing and a move to England. This experience turned out not to be sustainable however from this I have two wonderful children Robin and Ben who are both bright, attractive and charming young people.

Having visited Scotland a couple of times, I fell in love with the land and the culture and decided to make a move in that direction. To my delighted surprise along with the stunning landscape came a stunning Scottish lass. We moved to the Highlands, I started my own sales and marketing consultancy for tourism related businesses AYE Limited and we had a delightful baby, Isla.  Sadly this relationship came to an abrupt end.  AYE brought me into partnership with Pete Syme of Splash and here we are full circle back into the world of providing outdoor experiences to the world, bigger and better than ever!
