Kyle Preston
2007 Ace Trainee - 2008 Head Guide
Hey there my name is Kyle Preston and I’m from the majestic South Africa, Pietermoritzburg to be exact! I grew up on a farm in Ashburton where all my adventures started; from mountain biking around the farm developing to extreme mountain biking in the great Drakensburg Mountains. I have surfed the east and south coast seas as well as fished in them, catching the big boys as well as the not so big fish in the fresh waters.

I am a sports fanatic and take on any sports that are a challenge and an adventure. I have tried everything from triathlons and adventure races, canoeing in the Kwa-Zullinatal Duzi, cycling the famous Cape Augus 107km ride and tour to Durban cycle challenge, enduring the heat and pain. Once my mind is set nothing or no one can stop me.

Another passion of mine is nature; I enjoy hiking and exploring the wild outdoors. I am a qualified game ranger which took me two years to complete. I must say that they were the best two years in my life. I’ve done 4x4 courses and have lived to tell my stories about the Kruger National Park approaching only the most dangerous animals, I have lived it and love it and would do it all over again. In the two years I have also helped raise one of my good friend Rebecca’s orphan giraffe and zebra which was a great success. In my spare time I worked for an awesome person and good friend Mike Ross, doing game capture. We captured all things great and small from rhino to zebra, giraffe and all sorts of buck. In those two years I have gotten to know all the African wild life as well as Africa itself. Recently I have come over to explore the UK where I started working as a game warden for the well known Longleat Safari Park. My responsibilities were taking care of the Longleat lions as well as the wolves and tigers.

NO FEAR is my motto, well now that I think about it I do fear spiders, so no fear except spiders is my motto. I’m a fun funky and funny person who just wants to have an awesome time, I would take on any challenge, adventure or both and take anyone with who dares to explore with me. I take every day and moment as it comes and make it worth living and remembering there is always a first time for everything so NEVER SAY NEVER!
