Scottish White Water Rafting, River Findhorn

You Said...

Thanks for the great day guys- highly recommended diversion for the drinking on a stag! Even with the low water level it was still a great day out and you have a great team of guides. Thanks very much!

SRA

Scottish Rafting Association

The Scottish Rafting Association (SRA) is the sole recognised rafting body for Scotland by the International Rafting Federation (IRF). The SRA is a non-profit organisation whose purpose is to support and represent rafting in Scotland.

The SRA Guide Qualification Scheme provides members with IRF Membership.  The Guide Training and Education Scheme of the SRA is similar to the IRF Guide Training and Education Scheme with the following two fundamental differences:

  • The SRA will not recognise an IRF qualification from another country
  • Experienced and or qualified raft guides from other countries or regions and programs have to undertake a 6 day SRA guide course to gain a SRA qualification, there is no assessment option for experienced guides

The SRA is made up of an elected committee who are responsible for the administration of the SRA, running of the SRA Guide Training Scheme and representation for rafting at local Access Code and land use meetings.
