You Said...

Hope you haven't forgotten me? It's Morag. Myself and the Tingle team came last month, and I just wanted to say thank you so much for a fantastic experience! It was brilliant, and I still can't get over the fact that we made it through that terrifying rapid!

My path into a career in the outdoors hasn’t been a typical one but for anyone who knew me as a kid we probably should have seen it coming! I grew up in a variety of different places as a child never stopping in one spot for that long, however the area that Ace Adventures is based in is the one place that feels like home and it is wonderful to be back and doing something I love! I have brilliant memories of taking younger brothers and sisters on “adventures” through the woods and down to the Findhorn and now I get to take anyone who is up to the challenge.

My background is diverse; graduated in 2001 with an honours degree in Forensic Chemistry and after a short time working for a pharmaceutical company I was feeling slightly disillusioned so started to look for something new. The work within Pharmaceuticals had provided many travel opportunities and I wanted more of the travel and less corporate dinners!

After a brief period in Wales doing odd jobs I went to Bermuda to be with my sister who was about to have my first niece. In Bermuda I began diving and became a PADI rescue diver, getting up early, being outside helping on the boats was brilliant and I knew that a life indoors in an office just wouldn’t cut it.

Three years later itchy feet had me planning a new venture, this time with a partner in crime Paul. We planned to head to Fiji for a volunteer project but the project folded and we went straight to the latter part of the plan: New Zealand. My first white water trip down the Rangitikei River in New Zealand I was hooked and three years later I am back in Scotland with qualifications to hopefully give people the same feeling I had on my first white water experience.
